Smeal Student Diversity Award
Recognizes a Smeal student for leadership in an individual group project that furthers diversity efforts at the college.
2015 Award Recipient: Kenneth A. Allen II '15 Risk Management
Kenneth Allen will graduate with a degree in the actuarial science option of risk management and a minor in statistics. He is engaged in several Smeal organizations, and currently serves as the president of the National Association of Black Accountants and undergraduate representative for the Smeal Diversity Committee. This past May, he traveled to Fiji with several other students and two faculty leaders focusing on environmental sustainability, and hopes to continue traveling the world and helping to enhance sustainable efforts. During his time at Penn State, Allen has strived to provide mentorship and professional developmentto all students he interacts with. Upon graduating, he will onboard as an actuary in New York City with American International Group (AIG) for pricing national consumer insurance.
