Smeal Student Diversity Award
Recognizes a Smeal student for leadership in an individual group project that furthers diversity efforts at the college.
2016 Award Recipient: Tyler Drago '16 Finance
Tyler Drago is a senior undergraduate student double majoring in finance and economics and minoring in Italian. He plays trumpet in the Penn State Blue Band and serves as the co-chair of Student Concerns for Penn State’s Commission on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (CLGBTE) Equity. Drago also serves as president of OUT & Allies in Business, secretary of the LGBTA Student Roundtable, and writes as a headlines market analyst with Penn State Finance Society’s Market Analysis Group. He was a semi-finalist in the START Diversity essay contest in spring 2014 for his essay entitled, An Exponential Trajectory for Social Betterment: A Gaze Into Diversity in 15 Years. Post-graduation, Drago will be joining EY’s Financial Services office in New York City as staff in the AdvisoryPractice.
