2013 Award Recipient: Bette Tobey Kozlowski '81 Accounting

Kozlowski is a director in university relations and campus recruiting for KPMG. She has more than thirty years of accounting and campus recruiting experience. As a director in university relations, she develops and executes the campus recruiting strategy for the Pennsylvania and Virginia business units, including diversity strategy, hiring plans and goals and campus activities. Nationally, she develops and executes the firm’s strategy for faculty relations, including coordination of academic research projects and conferences. Before joining campus recruiting, Kozlowski was a senior manager in the audit practice and served a variety of clients in the manufacturing and higher education industries. She is a member of the Philadelphia office diversity council and is also involved in the firm’s People Management Leadership Program. Kozlowski is a member of the American Accounting Association and currently is the vice chairperson for the Teaching, Learning and Curriculum section. She was on the board of directors for the AACSB and the accounting accreditation committee. She is the treasurer for the Conestoga High School boys soccer booster club, and is on the employer advisory board for Widener University and Morgan State University. Bette and her two children reside in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
