Complete your MBA through our two-year residential program in the Smeal College of Business. Globally ranked No. 4 in overall faculty quality by The Economist in 2021, the program consists of a small, community-based cohort of only 60 students per year.
The Penn State Smeal marketing concentration features a set of courses designed to enhance your knowledge of consumer behavior, brand development and equity, frameworks for strategic management and communications, as well as technologies that enhance marketing functions and processes.
Marketing Course Highlights
- New Product Development and Management: Identify business opportunity, understand potential customer needs, and develop a new product from concept to virtual prototype.
- Consumer Behavior: Gain knowledge on theories and concepts from psychology, sociology, economics, and other disciplines that are useful in understanding and marketing to consumers.
- Brand Management: Examine and understand the process of building, designing, measuring, and maintaining brand equity.

Marketing Analytics and Insights
Continue your education in Marketing Analytics and Insights through an asynchronous program that allows students to log in on their time during the week. Option to gain a 12-credit Graduate Certificate, or expand your knowledge even more through a 30 credit Master's program. This program will provide you with theoretical foundations, analytical tools, and critical thinking skills to efficiently apply data to make strategic marketing decisions. You will be challenged to use real data sets to solve critical marketing challenges in the areas of customer acquisition and retention, brand management, digital marketing communication, market evaluation, and customer experience management.
