Become a Smeal Champion

Smeal Champions are alumni, friends, and students who donate their time to raise awareness of Smeal initiatives within their networks. As ambassadors for Smeal, they help us to be successful by living the WE ARE spirit and encouraging those around them to become more involved members of the Smeal community.

Smeal Champions are alumni, friends, and students who donate their time to raise awareness of Smeal initiatives within their networks. As ambassadors for Smeal, they help us to be successful by living the WE ARE spirit and encouraging those around them to become more involved members of the Smeal community. 

Is it complicated or time-consuming? No! You can be helpful by simply promoting the information to your network of Penn State friends and classmates. 

We are currently recruiting Smeal Champions to help spread the word about the Giving Tuesday campaign held on November 28, 2023. 

Join us in rallying the Smeal community and to access resources that make sharing with your network easy by checking out the Smeal Champion Toolkit. 

The fundraising campaign will focus on the Smeal Student Emergency Fund, which provides short-term financial assistance for students in times of need. Gifts to this campaign can make the difference between a student staying in school or giving up on their Penn State dream. 

Becoming a Smeal Champion is as easy as:

  • Sending an email to your close peers or classmates at Smeal
  • Posting information once, twice or multiple times throughout the event on your
    • LinkedIn
    • Facebook
    • Twitter
    • Instagram, or
    • ALL of them
  • Making your own gift or challenge gift to inspire others to join you. 

Regardless, YOUR influence and network can help make all the difference in this campaign to support students with great need.
