Morning Breakout Sessions

  • ABC's of Gen X,Y, Z: We have five 'generations' in today's workforce. This brings differences in communication styles, values, and working habits. Instead of focusing on the weaknesses of generations other than yours, learn to harness the strengths of each generation. (interactive)

  • Stretched Too Thin: Are you feeling overwhelmed by responsibilities and not sure when or how to say "no"? According to a study on stress levels by the Mental Health Foundation, in the past year 74% of people have felt so stressed that they have felt overwhelmed or unable to cope. Sometimes all we need to change is our prioritization. Find your balance and learn to implement self-care into your routine.

  • The Importance of Having a Male Ally: It is difficult for women to advance if they don't have the support they need from men. When men advocate for women and support an equitable organization, everyone wins. This session will focus on the importance of finding and engaging with male allies.

11:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

PWPW Talks -

  • Sorry Not Sorry: On an average, men apply for a job when the meet only 60% of the qualifications, but women apply only if they meet 100% of them. Women tend to spend more time apologizing and less time speaking up with their opinion. On an average, women say they're sorry more times in their lives than men do. It's not that one way of thinking is right and the other is wrong--it's just different. The more men and women understand one another, the better they can work together.

  • 3 Superpowers You Need to Succeed: Have you ever thought about your idea of success? Success doesn't look the same to everyone and we don't all dream of being in the C-Suite. Hosted by Celebrity Cruises, this interactive session will present three 'superpowers' to help you achieve success. (interactive)
  • Your Life Well Spent: Many of us graduate from college without knowing how to invest our time and money. We are told to invest in many things, whether it's our finances, relationships, or happiness. This interactive session will give you the opportunity to create your own budget and learn tips for managing a credit card, investing, and handling student loans. (interactive)

  • Be Where Your Feet Are: In this digital age, it is difficult to stay present when we are overly focused on the way our lives appear on social media. It is important to make time to disconnect from technology and reconnect to ourselves and others. How can we adapt to this fast-paced world while still making time to be present?
