  • Managing as a Millennial (Students):
Millennials now make up the largest portion of the US workforce; with that, they are also taking on more roles as managers and leaders. However, here are distinct differences between generations; from Baby Boomers to Millennials, each generation has preferences on how they like to be supervised - as well as how they like to supervise! This session will take a look at what it means as well as how to be a strong manager and leader of work teams made up of people from multiple different generations.
  • Business Building Blocks: Ethics & Integrity (Professionals):
Not all decisions are black and white; there may be several factors that play a role in each business choice one makes.  This panel will discuss different situations and how to handle them while staying true to yourself and your values.
  • "Your Body Hears Everything Your Minds Says" - The F.L.Y. Movement (Mixed):
Join us as the founders of The F.L.Y. Movement discuss the importance of Fueling your body, mind and soul, Loving yourself and others, and knowing that You are enough and You can make a difference.

Afternoon Breakout Sessions

  • Will Work for Trees (Students):
According to some sources, sustainability in business has moved past a "warm and fuzzy" concept to being one that is vital for a company's "competitive edge." Forbes even has developed a listing of the 50 most sustainable companies. Now more than ever, one can do work that is both personally important as well as a business imperative. This session will discuss the importance of sustainability and how it is affecting the current job market and the modern business landscape.
  • How to Be the Boss Without Being the "B" Word (Bossy) (Professionals):
Women continuously grapple with an interesting conundrum, particularly in leadership roles - we seek to be strong leaders who are viewed as decisive and drivers of their organization, while also serving as mentors and people who nurture and develop their team. However at times, that very decisiveness is viewed as the woman leader being the "B" word...Bossy! This session will address this issue as well as ways of addressing it in the workplace.

  • Can YOU Talk Money? (Mixed):
Personal finance can be confusing and wage negotiation is no simple task.  In this panel, learn about different financial concepts and terminologyand how having a handle on your personal finances can also help you negotiate.
