SMS Terms and Conditions

The Penn State Smeal Office of Professional Graduate Programs uses SMS messages to communicate about application and aid deadlines, event reminders, and other important information related to the admissions process and current student activities.

You may opt out of receiving the SMS messages at any time. Just text "STOP" to the number. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have opted out of receiving future SMS messages. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to receive SMS messages again you can sign up at any time.

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance, or you can get help directly at: pgp@smeal.psu.edu.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

We will not share your information with any third party, other than those service providers who assist us in providing you with SMS messages about Smeal Graduate Programs. We may share your information, including your SMS opt in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited, to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of SMS messages related to Smeal Graduate Programs.
