Facilitating financial literacy workshops serves dual role

The Tarriff Center for Business Ethics and Social Responsibility is conducting ongoing financial literacy and entrepreneurship programs for people who are incarcerated. The initiative has proven a success for the MBA students and faculty who teach the workshops. Read the story.

Cahoy named Big Ten Academic Alliance Academic Leadership Program Fellow

Dan Cahoy, professor of business law and research director for the Center for the Business of Sustainability, is one of six new fellows from Penn State in 2022-23 named to the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) Academic Leadership Program. The BTAA is the academic consortium of the Big Ten universities and the United States’ preeminent model for effective collaboration among research universities. Read the story.

SAC Meet and Greet, Travel Spotlight upcoming

Two Smeal Staff Advisory Committee events are scheduled for next week. A meet-and-greet event is planned for 5 p.m. July 27 at Axemann Brewery, 2042 Axemann Road, Suite 125, in Bellefonte. The next day, Juan Veruete will present SAC’s first Travel Spotlight from noon to 1 p.m. in 124 Business Building. There’s no need to RSVP for either event. For the Travel Spotlight, just show up with your lunch, if you like, and enjoy!
