Smeal Update: May 8, 2020
Dear Smeal Community,
Welcome to another edition of the Smeal COVID-19 Update, which includes important information regarding the University’s response to the pandemic and the impact on Smeal.
Our Smeal Coronavirus FAQ page contains links to the University’s faculty/staff FAQs and other pertinent information.
With commencement upon us, I wanted to share Smeal’s collective efforts to make Saturday a special day for our graduates. Please watch this video.
Smeal commencement resources are online
- A wide range of Smeal personnel have been working for weeks on a variety of projects to help make commencement as special as possible for our graduates. A collection of those projects can be found at www.smeal.psu.edu/commencement.
Update on faculty/staff parking permit concerns
- No decision has yet been made regarding refunds for faculty/staff parking permits. Because parking office employees are working from home, they are unable to process permit returns at this time. Until more information is available, please do not return or discard your permit. Questions can be directed to parking@psu.edu.
Good news from Risk Management Department
- After a significant review of the curriculum, Smeal’s real estate major has been approved by the Appraisal Foundation. This is a mark of distinction, which will significantly enhance the ability of Smeal graduates to be able to pursue careers as appraisers.
