A great way to privately connect with a coach for advice or if you need a different perspective on a career problem.


During this event, you can:

  • Meet one-on-one for 15 minutes with a Smeal Alum Executive Coach. If you are looking for a resume suggestions, make sure to register and download your resume no later than Friday, February 10th  at noon.  We will be sharing your resumes with our volunteers prior to the event.  NOTE:  Due to time restriction, you will only get some resume pointers.  It will not be a detailed review.
  • While you wait for a chance to speak with a professional, get in line in the General Networking Booth to build your network and share tips with other job seekers.  Remember that all conversions are recorded for viewing at the end of the event, just click on “History.”
  • Any alumni with jobs to fill are welcome to attend and visit the General Networking booth to meet with Smeal job seekers and others looking to hire.  
  • Get in line in the Quick Career Questions booth to connect with our Assistant Director, Bill Lippert.  
  • Visit the Connect with Smeal booth with general questions about Smeal Alumni Career Services for Program Manager, Cindi Satterfield.

To prepare:

  • Register prior to Friday, February 10th, by noon if you want some strategic advice on your resume.  This will also provide our coaches with some information on your background.
  • Include your public LinkedIn profile when registering.
  • Come to the live event with 3 specific career questions to get the most out of your 15-minute session.
  • NOTE: We can no longer set booths for different times.  All booths are set for 15-minute chats.  However, you can end the chat and move on at any time.
