In January 2014, Reston-based customer service SaaS provider Parature was acquired by global giant Microsoft in a deal that has been reported by media outlets to be worth approximately $100 million in value. Long before the deal was finalized, Parature’s CEO turned to two members of the executive team, both Penn State alumni, to lead the charge on assessing and eventually executing the complex transaction. CFO Bob Aldrich and CTO Matt Walnock led the charge with tenacity and drive typical of Penn Staters everywhere. Hear their story behind “making the deal.”
