Name: Ashley Au

Ashley Au is a senior majoring in marketing. She is currently a Bunton-Waller diversity scholar, Vice President of Penn State Prime and a member of the Sapphire Leadership Academic Program. She had the opportunity to study abroad in Paris in the spring of 2019. She has had marketing internships with Mars Wrigley and The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. She plans to continue her passion for brand marketing post-graduation at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company.

Name: Lobna Ahmed

Lobna is a Senior who has been on the START Committee since her freshman year. She is in the Smeal College of Business majoring in Management Information Systems and minoring Security and Risk Analysis with an option in Cybersecurity. Aside from the START Committee, Lobna is also part of the Penn State Management Information Systems Association, a peer-mentoring organization called BLUEprint, and the Egyptian Student Association.

Name: Tariq Baines

Tariq Baines is a junior majoring in Management Information Systems and is a first-year member of the START committee. Aside from the START committee, he is also a part of a Donor & Alumni Relations THON committee and works at Findlay Dining Commons.

Name:  Kayla Esannason

Kayla is currently a freshman at The Pennsylvania State University and a first-year START committee member. She intends to major in finance or marketing and minor in spanish. Aside from the START committee, Kayla is also a part of the Beaver Hall council.

Name: Xinchun ( Lucy ) He

Xinchun is currently a Junior at The Pennsylvania State University. She is majoring in Management Information System, as well as minor in political science.This is her second year in START committee.  Outside START committee she is also part of Chinese Classical Dance team. This summer, Xinchun will interning for Amazon.

Name: Courtney Fisher

Courtney is a second time member of this year’s START committee. She is a senior at The Pennsylvania State University in the Smeal College of Business studying Finance. Courtney is the President of The Multicultural Women’s Forum. She is also a part of the Diversity Enhancement Program, Sapphire Leadership Academic Program and a Dancer Relations THON Committee. She will be working for Johnson & Johnson upon graduation

Name: Jackie Krevis

Jackie returns to the START committee for her third consecutive year. She is a junior in the Smeal College of Business, pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Psychology. Along with the START Conference committee, she is involved in the Smeal Diversity Scholars, The Penn State Thespian Society, and a volunteer organization, Harmony.

Name: James Lovera

James Lovera is currently a third year student at The Pennsylvania State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a specialization in the economics of Business and Law. Also, Minoring in Entrepreneurship and Innovations with a focus on Hospitality Management. This is his second year as a member of the START committee. During James's time at Penn State, he has been a player on the Penn State Baseball Club, a Dancer on the Latin Caucus Dance team, apart of PWC Connect and involved with Smeal's Diversity Enhancement Program.

Name: Amir Thorpe

Amir Thorpe returns to the START committee for his third year. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Security and Risk Analysis. During Amir's time at Penn State, he's held numerous positions such as a  treasurer for Black Male Leadership Symposium (BMLS), BLUEprint mentor, football recruiting intern, and peer career assistant.

Name: Alex Stuncard 

Alex is currently a sophomore at The Pennsylvania State University pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management. He is now serving on the START committee after attending the conference during his freshman year. Outside of the classroom Alex is on a THON Operations committee, is a member of Prime Marketing club, and is involved with Smeal’s Diversity Enhancement Programs.

Name: Orlando Acevedo

Orlando is a multi-lingual, 2nd year MBA Student concentrating in Supply Chain Management and Finance and joins the START Committee this year. Having graduated from Ball State University in 2013 with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and French, he has worked in the education sector as an English language, French language, and Biology teacher at the university and high school levels in both France and Mozambique. Orlando served in the Peace Corps as an Education and Community Health Specialist in Mozambique for three years, after which he moved on to work as an agribusiness development consultant, implementing a $10.5 Million project in northern Mozambique as part of one of the world's largest offshore liquified natural gas projects. With a passion for corporate social responsibility, Orlando plans to continue working in emerging market development and impact investing in the long-term.
