Alumni Relations

Alumni relations services for the Supply Chain and Information Systems Department at Penn State

Penn State has one of the strongest and most active alumni bases in the country and there are a number of ways supply chain alumni can give back to Smeal and the department.

Hire Supply Chain Students

The Supply Chain and Information Systems Department has it's own online recruiting system, Supply Chain CareerLink. Post open full-time employment positions within your company for current undergraduate seniors and fellow alumni.

Present to Student Organizations

Partner with our student organizations to host an event on campus. Sample event topics include instructional workshops (i.e. How To Use Excel in the Workplace), mock interviews & resume reviews, planning for the future, and more!

Mentor Current Students

Volunteer your time to help guide a current student through the ins-and-outs of their college to career transition through the Smeal Mentoring Program.

In the News: Stacy Mumm, a 2001 West Point graduate, served as an active duty U. S. Army Logistics Officer for seven years, including two deployments in Iraq. In civilian life, she wanted a career in supply chain management. To boost her marketability, she turned to the Penn State Smeal College of Business Master of Professional Studies program in supply chain management, a 30-credit program delivered fully online in partnership with Penn State World Campus.

“Faculty members were extremely supportive in quickly responding to all my questions, and the group work with other students was one of my favorite aspects of the program.”

Video Profiles: Smeal Women in Supply Chain

The Penn State Smeal College of Business partnered with Deloitte in fall 2017 in an initiative to increase the number of women in supply chain fields across the nation. These profiles are intended to help women gain an understanding of supply chain career opportunities and challenges, with the ultimate objective of achieving equal participation across genders at all levels. Watch the following videos to hear real life work stories from Smeal alumni at different stages in their supply chain management careers.
