Jim Brandau '03 is a Principal at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., a privately-held financial services firm offering a range of investment and banking services. Jim and his team manage over $7 billion in assets for private business owners, business executives, endowments, foundations, and high net worth investors with more than $10 million in assets, providing his clients with continuity, exceptional service, and a commitment to an investment approach that is aimed at preserving their wealth.

Prior to joining Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., Jim was a private wealth advisor at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management from 2005 - 2014, serving substantial private business owners and corporate executives. At the time, he and his partners managed more than $1.7 billion in assets for foundations and high-net worth families.  Jim began his career in 2003 as an analyst at J.P. Morgan Private Bank.  Jim received a B.S. in finance from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jim served as the president of the Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business Alumni Society Board. He currently serves as a director on the following boards: the Philadelphia Orchestra (Investment Committee), the Philadelphia Academy of Music, the Penn State University Endowment Board / Investment Council, the Nittany Lion Fund (Board Chair), and the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill Alumni Council.

Jim, his wife Micaela, and sons Max, Charlie and Jack reside in Wayne, Pennsylvania and State College, Pennsylvania.
