The 2026 Sapphire Application is now open. Application deadline is Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 5PM ET 

The Sapphire Leadership Academic Program is designed for high-achieving students who have been accepted to the Smeal College of Business and would like to enhance their business school experience. By providing unique academic content, leadership and professional development opportunities, and real-world application of knowledge gained inside the classroom, the Sapphire Leadership Academic Program empowers student leaders to make an impact on business and society.

High school students interested in applying to the Sapphire Leadership Academic Program can only do so provided they have been offered admission into the Smeal College of Business at University Park. Students should sign into the Sapphire application with their MyPennState account credentials.

Sapphire Visitation Days

You will have two different opportunities to meet with Sapphires Students and Sapphire Faculty and Staff to learn more about the Program.

  • In-Person on Monday, January 26th, 2026: REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
  • Virtually on Monday, February 16, 2026: REGISTRATION NOW OPEN
