Audit internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers in NYC

During my fourth year as a MAcc student I had the opportunity to do a winter internship with PwC. My experience as an assurance intern in their New York office was challenging yet extremely rewarding. As a “busy-season” intern I was exposed to a vast majority of year-end audit procedures, while getting a glimpse of the fast-paced and demanding workload of a full time associate. The most enjoyable aspect was the dynamic team-based work environment that focused on collaborative and supportive work from all professional levels of the engagement team. As an intern I was given meaningful roles and responsibilities that made me feel like a valuable asset to the team. Within the twelve weeks at PwC I was able to establish positive relationships with my engagement team, professionals, as well as other interns. Aside from my client role I also got a glimpse of the firm’s corporate culture, participating in community service events that helped better align the firm’s values with mine. The internship has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally, as well as feel confident and enthusiastic about joining the firm as a full time associate upon graduation.
