Susan Gentry has worked for Dow AgroSciences in Indianapolis, Indiana, since 2001. For the past 32 years, Gentry's career has been in large corporations' operations and supply chains. Before joining Dow AgroSciences, her background was in manufacturing at Procter & Gamble with management roles in customer service, distribution, warehousing, supplier certification, production planning, MRPII implementation, and category supply. Gentry has had assignments at Dow AgroSciences on both the crop protection and seeds platforms as global business supply chain manager for a variety of product portfolios. She has championed the creation of the Global Supply Chain Expertise Center for the Dow AgroSciences Seeds business and spearheaded the North America Seed Supply Chain organization. Currently, Gentry is associate director of Integrated Business Planning – Supply Lead in the Seeds business.

Gentry enjoys recruiting and mentoring young professionals in the supply chain profession. She is passionate about mentoring young women; helping them navigate the corporate landscape and Lean In to their careers.

With a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Purdue University, Gentry also attained APICS, CPIM, and CSCP certifications to enhance her career. She is actively involved in the APICS Central Indiana Chapter since 2001 and served as Chapter President in 2005 and 2006 program year and has held a variety of other positions in previous years.

Gentry lives northwest of Indianapolis on 15 acres with her husband, Mike. Her two grown sons reside nearby. Her eldest son, Matt, is mayor of Lebanon, Indiana, while her youngest son, Stephen, is a real estate agent and runs the family show pig business.
