Donna G. Palumbo is senior manager, Innovation Sourcing, at Johnson & Johnson Ethicon, Inc., Medical Devices Global Services, Inc.  Palumbo joined the Advanced Sourcing & Innovation Global Surgery team in 2016 and is responsible for establishing strategic direction in the identification and implementation of innovative solutions and has been instrumental in the development and execution of game changing supplier engagement business models.  She provides strategic leadership, and is a role model, educator, and mentor who engages and develops others to their fullest potential.

Prior to Johnson & Johnson, Palumbo was Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement at The Walt Disney Company and held various supply chain roles supporting both domestic and international business in their Consumer Products, Theme Parks, and Corporate segments. She was responsible for category strategy development and execution, and led multiple virtual category teams including supporting the Shanghai Disney Resort© project.  Before joining Disney, she was a consultant with Ernst & Young, LLP supporting supply chain engagements including ERP implementations and later joined CarParts.com in their supply chain group focused on enhancing the customer eCommerce experience. Palumbo has spent more than 15 years in various supply chain management disciplines.

Palumbo’s broad business background includes significant leadership assignments having afforded her experience in logistics, product development, diverse types of globally sourced products and services, transportation management, customs compliance, reverse logistics, supplier relationship management, and supplier sustainability.  Her assignments include automotive, electronics, eCommerce startup, specialty retail, entertainment and healthcare industries.

In addition to receiving multiple leadership awards, Palumbo is an Advisory Board member for Penn State University’s Center for Supply Chain Research, a member of AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management, and Education), a member of CSCMP, former board chairwoman of the National Association of Women MBAs, former board member for the Central Florida CSCMP Roundtable, served on the board of directors for the Central Florida Hispanic Business Initiative Fund, Florida Hospital Sharing Smiles, and the Central Florida National Association of Women Business Owners.  Additionally, Palumbo has also been recognized for her volunteerism supporting various causes.

Palumbo earned her bachelor of science degree in business logistics from The Pennsylvania State University, a MBA from The University of Tampa, and a doctorate degree in organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.  She has published her dissertation entitled Investigating Resources to Maximize the Effectiveness of Women Leaders, focused on increasing knowledge and awareness for aspiring women entrepreneurs and leaders. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor in supply chain management courses.
