Undergraduate

At the undergraduate level, the Accounting Department at the Smeal College of Business offers two programs: the four-year Bachelor of Science in Accounting and the five-year Integrated Master of Accounting Program in which students graduate with both a bachelor's and a masters in Accounting. Both programs prepare students to develop and interpret financial data required for decision-making by managers, investors, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Smeal Accounting majors enjoy heavy campus recruiting in a wide range of job opportunities upon graduation. Penn State is a national recruiting school for many major corporations and the major public accounting firms.

Graduate

At the graduate level, Smeal offers the one-year Master of Accounting, the one-year Master's in Accounting Analytics, as well as a Ph.D. Emphasis in Accounting. The college also offers a one-year residential MBA and an Executive MBA in Philadelphia with coursework in financial and managerial accounting.

The one-year Master of Accounting is designed for high-potential baccalaureate degree holders who wish to fulfill the 150 credit-hours required to meet the certified public accountant (CPA) licensure requirements. Both the one-year MAcc and the Integrated MAcc fulfill this educational standard.

The one-year STEM-designated Master's in Accounting analytics delivers an enhanced focus on the technology skills and business analytics software essential to success in today's data-rich environment, while remaining grounded in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.

The Accounting Ph.D. Program is one of the top accounting doctoral programs in the world. It prepares candidates for productive careers as researchers and teachers.
