Jeffrey L. Leininger ’67 attended Bucknell’s Master of Business Administration Program, majoring in economics, The Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Penn State in 1967. Mr. Leininger retired from Mellon Financial Corporation in 2004 after 33 years of dedicated service. At the time of his retirement, he was responsible for Mellon’s Treasury Services Sector which included all of Mellon’s commercial lending businesses, including leasing, as well as its global institutional sales organization, its global cash management business and its capital markets business. He was a member of various corporate committees including finance, credit approval and employee benefits, among others. He was also a member of the board of directors of Mellon Ventures, Inc., (Mellon’s small business investment company), Mellon Bank Canada, Mellon First Business Bank (Mellon's southern California middle market bank), Banco Brascan (Mellon's Brazilian investment bank) and the Mellon Financial Foundation.

Mr. Leininger is currently a member of the board of directors of the Audia Group of companies, the Penn State Smeal Business School Board of Visitors, and the Pittsburgh Symphony where he serves as Secretary/Treasurer. He is a past Board member of the Erie Insurance Group, Tuscarora Inc., The Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club, The South Side Health System of Pittsburgh, and the advisory board of Family Guidance, Inc.
