Jon Grosso '89 is responsible for all store operations and administration, and has led the organization's efforts to achieve the highest engagement scores in the industry, while continuing to focus on delivering excellent service to Kohl's customers. Under Grosso’s leadership, Kohl’s has grown from 300 to 1,158 stores.
Grosso is leading his team of more than 100,000 associates to drive the relevancy of Kohl’s stores and think differently about how to serve today’s consumers. Grosso is committed to ensuring Kohl’s associates are ‘Digitally Savvy’ by bridging the gap between Kohls.com and Kohl’s stores to provide customers with an easy and seamless omnichannel experience. He championed the ‘Store Manager as CEO’ concept, which empowers each store manager to use local market knowledge and
actionable insights to make decisions at the individual store level. And, to continue delivering best-in-class customer service and high associate engagement scores, Grosso promotes a ‘Hospitality Mentality’ approach across his entire team, always putting customers first.
Grosso has been with Kohl’s for 17 years. Prior to that, he held progressive positions in store operations for Macy's, including vice president of operations. He has more than 30 years of retail experience.
Grosso currently serves on the board of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He is also on the Penn State Board of Visitors, where he serves as the Chair of the Honor and Integrity Committee, and has been honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award. Grosso earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Penn State University.
