Coyle Receives Logistics Honor

In recognition of his pioneering work in developing logistics education, John Coyle, professor emeritus in supply chain and information systems, has received the Eccles Medal from the International Society of Logistics. Real Estate Faculty Rank Highest For Editorial Representation

Smeal's representation on the editorial boards of leading real estate journals is highest among all real estate faculties, with nine editorial appointments in 2003, up from five appointments in 1998. Report Named Best Paper At Entrepreneurship Consortium

Focusing on innovative methods for teaching entrepreneurship, “A Scalable Problem-Based Learning System for Innovation Education” describes Penn State's approach and plans to open entrepreneurial instruction to large groups of students across the University and beyond. Merck's Frazier To Give Shoemaker Lecture

BusinessWeek, Economist: Smeal Among Top Programs

Smeal’s MBA program is featured among the top 50 in the United States in the 2004 "Best B-Schools" issue, the latest edition of a report compiled every other year by BusinessWeek. Update: New Building Fundraising Campaign

The college’s broad-based fundraising campaign targeting its more than 60,000 alumni continues. Smeal must raise $28 million by the end of 2005 to receive a $1 million challenge grant from The Kresge Foundation and reach its ultimate private building fundraising goal of $29 million.
