Building Profile
Designed by renowned Robert A.M. Stern Architects, the new 210,000-square-foot building will unite a business community of students, teachers, researchers, alumni, and corporate partners. Smeal’s new home features 22 undergraduate and MBA classrooms, six advanced business labs, a 55-seat trading room, 10 recruiter interview rooms, a food court, an auditorium, a soaring four-story atrium that can seat 400, and numerous other amenities.

Chevron, Woertz Gifts Push Smeal College Toward New Building Fundraising Goal

Smeal Research: Implications Of Ethical Leadership
Linda Treviño and David Harrison in Smeal’s Department of Management and Organization, along with Smeal Ph.D. alumnus Michael Brown of Penn State Erie, co-authored a paper linking ethical leadership to important organizational outcomes such as leader effectiveness. Academy Of Management Meeting Showcases Smeal Expertise
Dean Judy Olian will moderate and serve as a panelist in a symposium on the future of business schools during the annual Academy of Management meetings in August. Nittany Lion Fund Outperforms S&P 500
Since its January launch, the student-managed Nittany Lion Fund has outpaced the S&P 500 index by more than 7%. The positive performance helped drive more than $300,000 in new investments to the fund during the latest open enrollment period. August ISBM Meetings Focuses On Innovation
Smeal's Institute for the Study of Business Markets will host its annual Members Meeting August 23 - 24 at University Park. The conference, entitled "Key Challenges for B-to-B: Innovation and Organization," will offer insights and perspectives from a variety of speakers on innovative processes, approaches, and cases in business-to-business marketing that have fueled corporate growth.
