Co-chairs
Andrew Duffett
Andrew Duffett is a second-year MBA student studying finance and entrepreneurship at Smeal. Prior to coming to business school he worked for Merrill Lynch in both risk management and alternative investments. While at Penn State, Duffett serves as senior managing director of Nittany Lion Venture Capital. In this role he has been involved in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, performing valuations, reviewing term sheets, and structuring deals. Some of his other interests include Penn State football, real estate, distance running, and traveling.
Kyle Charlesworth
Kyle Charlesworth, CPA, is a second-year MBA student studying finance at Smeal Prior to coming to business school he gained approximately 5 years of experience as an auditor working for a public accounting firm and a fortune 500 pharmaceutical corporation. While at Penn State, he serves as a managing director of the Nittany Lion Venture Capital Garber Fund and is a graduate assistant for the Small Business Development Center. He has assisted in several deals with the fund including due diligence on several businesses, a sale of one of the portfolio companies, and assisting with deal terms of a new portfolio company. Charlesworth received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in accounting and information systems. In his spare time he enjoys watching football, fishing, and biking.
Jeremy Reeh
Jeremy Reeh is a second-year MBA student studying supply chain management and finance at Smeal. Reeh has a passion for new ventures having previously worked in business development for the biotechnology start-up PlantGenix and currently serves as the vice president of business development/co-founding partner of The SALTXchange Ltd. While at Penn State, he serves as a managing director of the Nittany Lion Venture Capital Garber Fund. In this role, he served as a due diligence team captain for the Garber Fund and helped secure $200K, second tranche funding approval from the Garber Fund partnership for Indigo Biosciences Inc.; a State College start-up biotechnology company. Upon graduation, Reeh will be joining Johnson & Johnson’s Procurement Leadership Development Program (PLDP) as a strategic sourcing manager in J&J’s Pharmaceutical Research and Development operations.
