Extensive corporate connections enhance the student experience at the Penn State Smeal College of Business. Having ranked among the top ten in the nation among corporate recruiters surveyed by Bloomberg Businessweek, hundreds of companies turn to Smeal for internship, co-op, and full-time talent.
As a student, you have a number of resources available to you in terms of career planning. Penn State Career Services assists students University-wide in identifying and achieving their career goals. At Smeal, the Office of Career and Corporate Connections will work with you from day one to help you prepare, network, and eventually apply for the position best suited to you.
In addition to offering a Career Planning & Strategies course each fall and spring, our office will work with you to develop a professional skill set through career coaching, involvement opportunities in the college’s student organizations, and through interactions with top companies who attend our career fairs each year.
In order to build a strong network, we connect you to a number of resources and information through our recruiting newswire and social media. We also help you in leveraging connections with Penn State and Smeal alumni.
When it comes time to apply for an internship, co-op, or full-time position, you will have access to a number of online job postings through sites such as SmealConnect, the college’s own career opportunities and networking site, as well as Penn State’s Nittany Lion Career Network.
