On November 1, 2012, Smeal hosted a third Sustainability Webinar for faculty and students on the topic of "Key Performance Indicators for Assessing the Corporate Triple Bottom-line".
This webinar explored the key performance indicators (KPIs) that companies are collecting and reporting annually for investors and NGOs. Non-financial measures (e.g., carbon emissions, recycled waste, workplace safety, talent development, diversity) are proliferating as stakeholders and their interest in corporate sustainability increase. Issues explored included the non-financial measures collected, measurement challenges, how non-financial measure impact financial measures, and how non-financial measures relate to corporate performance and competitive strategy.
On November 30, 2010, Smeal hosted a second Sustainability Webinar for faculty and students on the topic of "Incentives to Encourage Sustainability in Corporate Decision-Making".
