William A. Schreyer
William Schreyer, ’48, is chairman emeritus of Merrill Lynch, serving the company since 1948. He was elected director of the New York Stock Exchange in 1985 and vice chairman of the board in 1987. He and his wife, Joan, established the William A. Schreyer Chair in Global Management Policies and Planning; created the William A. Schreyer Libraries Endowment in Global Management Policies and Planning; and endowed the Schreyer Honors College.
