Christina Butterworth Receives Traffic Club of Pittsburgh Scholarship

Traffic Club of Pittsburgh Scholarship

Christina L. Butterworth, an undergraduate in the Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems, was awarded the $2500 Traffic Club of Pittsburgh scholarship. She received the award during the 104th Annual Traffic Club Black Tie Dinner on March 16, 2006 in Pittsburgh.

The Traffic Club of Pittsburgh is an organization of professionals having a common interest in issues facing transportation users and providers. The Club emphasizes its commitment to the transportation community through its annual award of merit-based college scholarships to students who have designated transportation, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field as their major field of interest.

The scholarships are awarded in March of each year at the Club's Annual Dinner, an event which enjoys a rich tradition of excellence and attracts business leaders from points across North America. This year, the featured speaker of the event was Mr. Bob Scheifer of CBS Evening News.
