Yaru Liu receives SOIR Award and is presented wtih check
Ms. Yaru Liu, Ph.D. student in SC&IS, received a scholarship awarded by the Society of Industrial and Office Retailers (SIOR) at a ceremony held in the Nittany Lion Inn on Friday, November 16, 2007. The scholarship was presented to Ms. Liu by Mr. Jack Shepley, Secretary of the Philadelphia Regional Chapter of SIOR. The scholarship award was established through the Philadelphia Chapter of SIOR and co-funded on a partial matching basis with the SIOR Educational Foundation (SIOREF). Through this award, SIOR hopes to build professional relationships with students and promote awareness about the professional opportunities that are available within the SIOR's sphere of supply chain and logistics-related business activity.
