Dennis Lin on Sabbatical in Germany and China

Dennis Lin will be a Mercator Visiting Professor at the Department of Economics at Justus-Liebig University Giessen in Germany. The Mercator Visiting Professorship Programme is awarded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation, which is equivalent to the National Science Foundation in the USA. From late August to the end of 2008, Lin will be a Chang-Jiang Scholar at the School of Statistics at the Remin University of China. The Chang-Jiang Scholars Program, awarded by the Department of Education of the Chinese Government, is regarded as the highest academia award.
