MBA/MMM—Concurrent
Students in the MBA program with strong interests in manufacturing are advised during their first year to apply for a concurrent degree in the MMM degree program. A dual degree of MBA/MMM is extremely attractive to industry, combining the broad general management skills of the MBA with the in-depth manufacturing management and technology skills of the MMM.
The Graduate School requires that students in concurrent degree programs complete a minimum of 80 percent of the combined course requirements. Given that the MBA program is 48 credits and the MMM degree program is 32 credits, students would have to complete a minimum of 65 credits. MBA students typically become part of the full-time MMM degree program cohort in their second year.
Course Plan
Year 1: Students complete the MBA core courses.
Summer: Complete internship (if required).
Year 2: Students complete the MMM degree program courses and any remaining MBA courses.
At completion of the programs, concurrent students will receive two diplomas (MMM and MBA).
