Felisa Preciado

Clinical Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management, Smeal College of Business

Dr. Felisa Preciado joined the Smeal Faculty in 2007 as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management.  She also collaborates, by invitation, with the government of Panama as an expert panel member for the Secretariat of Science and Technology (SeNaCyT) in the field of Supply Chain Management.  Her research interests are applications of Operations Research in Health Care and Supply Chain Sustainability.

In 1992, she received a USAID Thomas Jefferson Fellowship which led her to obtain her BS in Industrial Engineering from Florida A&M University in 1995. She continued her studies at Florida State University where she received her MS in Industrial Engineering in 1997. That same year, she was hired by Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana as a Metrology Engineer. She then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University. Upon completion of her doctoral degree she joined Kimberly-Clark Corporation in 2002, where she worked as a Supply Chain Senior Specialist for Latin American Operations.

Dr. Preciado was born to Ecuadorian parents in David City, Republic of Panama.  Currently, she resides in State College with her three daughters, ages 6, 5 and 5.
