Gordon Barnett, Ph.D.

Gordon serves Enterprise Architecture Professionals, focusing on the best practices for business architecture. He is a recognized expert in enterprise architecture, strategy, governance, and organizational design. He has worked in these areas for more than 25 years, dealing
with financial services, telecommunications, IT, and governmental organizations. Gordon's research focuses on the methods, approaches, frameworks, tools, and techniques of business architecture that enable all stakeholders to make more informed decisions in regard to addressing current and future business challenges.

Gordon comes to Forrester with more than 25 years of IT/BT experience, in financial services, telecommunications, information technology, and governmental organizations. Prior to Forrester, Gordon set up and chaired many organizations' enterprise architecture practices; spoke at IBDG and Gartner events on enterprise architecture, strategy, and governance; and contributed to Forrester analyst research as a member of our EA Forrester Leadership Boards. While a CIO for a UK police force, Gordon cochaired the National EA Board and represented all of the NW Police forces on the board.

Gordon has a Ph.D. in business administration (specializing in eCommerce consumer behavior) from Northcentral University, an M.B.A. from Huron University, and a B.A. (first-class honors) from Kingston University in the UK. Gordon is also a part qualified ACCA accountant.
