Paul M. Avampato is currently the Vice President, Customer Service and Logistics, Snacks and Confections for Kraft Foods, Inc. Prior to this role Paul lead the implementation of SAP for Kraft Foods North America, in this cross functional role he had responsibility for the design and implementation of SAP in Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Service, Sales, and Procurement.
Paul started his career with Nabisco Brands, Inc. throughout his 30 years with Nabisco and now Kraft, he has held various assignments in transportation, distribution, customer service and product supply. His accomplishments in these assignments have resulted in Paul's career steadily progressing into positions of increased responsibility within the Kraft Supply Chain and the industry. Paul was recognized by the Pennsylvania State University, by being named the co-recipient of the 2008 Pashek Award for Supply Chain Excellence for logistics professionals that have made significant contributions to the practice and development of the logistics discipline. Most recently Paul received the 2011 Smeal Undergraduate Distinguished Achievement Award. Which recognizes those whose career achievements have brought distinction to themselves and Smeal, and whose commitments of time, talent, and resources enhance the prestige of Smeal.
Paul is a 1982 Graduate of The Pennsylvania State University in Business Logistics. A board member of the Warehouse Education and Research Council (WERC) and member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) He lives in Libertyville, Illinois with his wife Joanne, son Daniel, and daughters Anna and Maggie.
