The Powerful Women Paving the Way conference is sponsored by the Penn State Women in Business organization in celebration of the group's 10th anniversary.

Women in Business was founded as a student organization at Smeal in 1997 with a goal of increasing the recruitment and retention of women students into the college and to create an environment in which women could come together to discuss personal and professional issues. Today, Women in Business has more than 300 student members.
