Preliminary Application for Ph.D.
For applicants outside the United States
Due to increased competition for program spaces from international applicants, we request that all international applicants fill out a preliminary application. This preliminary application is designed to help the graduate committee determine whether your interests and abilities match those required by the department.
THE PRELIMINARY APPLICATION DOES NOT REPLACE THE FULL APPLICATION PROCEDURE; rather, it serves as a pre-screening measure, implemented as a cost-savings measure to both applicants and to our program.
We will respond in an expedient manner to all inquiries and all replies will be made via e-mail. PLEASE NOTE THAT PRELIMINARY APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED DURING SUMMER SEMESTER WILL NOT BE FORWARDED TO THE DEPARTMENTS FOR A RESPONSE UNTIL AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF FALL CLASSES (after August 26, 2013).
Please Note: The equivalent of a four-year American baccalaureate degree is required for application.
If your preliminary application has been approved, or if you have chosen to decline your option to submit the preliminary application, you may fill out the Full Application.
