Making Offers

We are members of The National Association of Colleges and Employers, the national professional association for career planning, placement, and recruitment. We abide by the Principles for Professional Conduct developed by NACE, and therefore recommend the following:

  • Refrain from placing undue time pressure for the acceptance of offers.
  • Refrain from encouraging students to renege on other employment offers.
  • Allow candidates at least 2 - 4 weeks to make firm decisions.

Chances of getting sincere commitments are increased substantially by allowing time to involve families, consult with advisors, and talk with the Internship Program. Click here to learn more about NACE .
