On-Campus Interviews
Step 1: Conducting on-campus interviews is easy! The first step is to contact our Recruiting Manager, Adora Way , at 814-865-3244 to secure a date for your visit. We have ten interview rooms available on the 1st floor of our brand new state of the art Business building, which is located on the corner of Shortlidge Road and Park Avenue. We are within walking distance of downtown State College, a popular destination for recruiters and alums. We also have access to interview rooms in the MBNA Career Services Center.
All rooms are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis with priority in scheduling provided to our Corporate Associate members. With interview space at a premium, we recommend that you begin to plan your recruiting date 6 to 8 months in advance of your visit.
Step 2: After your recruiting date has been arranged, you'll receive an e-mail which includes your password to log in to our on-campus management interview Web-based software package powered by Symplicity.
Step 3: Use this system to post job descriptions, view resumes submitted by interested students, preselect students you would like to interview, and access your interview schedules.
Step 4: You can review candidate resumes approximately 3 weeks prior to your visit. You will be given a deadline by which you must indicate who your preselected interview candidates are.
Step 5: We will set up your interview schedule to meet your needs.
Step 6: We will notify the preselected candidates for you. You may check the status of the interview schedule online at any time during this process.
Presentations/Information Sessions
These are optional events that many companies schedule in conjunction with interviewing. Many recruiters hold information sessions to inform students about their organization's opportunities, positions, training programs, benefits, and other important information as they make career decisions. Some recruiters will hold the information session weeks before their on-campus interviewing visit to increase visibility and interest; others hold the information session the evening before the interviewing day; some will hold the information session in conjunction with job fairs. Whichever schedule suits your needs; please contact Adora Way at 814-865-3244 for help with the locations and services on campus to make your presentation a success.
Recruiting Deadlines
It is critical during the recruiting process that employers adhere to deadlines outlined by our staff. In order to properly represent you during this process, we require job postings, schedule requirements, and candidate preselects well in advance of your visit. If we do not receive your information within the appropriate time frame, your visit will be rescheduled.
