Penn State's Smeal College of Business rose four spots to 34th overall and 17th among publicly supported business schools in this year's edition of U.S. News & World Report's "America’s Best Graduate Schools," out today. The publication also ranks Smeal sixth in the nation in the discipline-specific category of Supply Chain/Logistics.
Smeal Advances In Latest U.S. News Ranking Of MBA Programs
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (March 30, 2007) – Penn State's Smeal College of Business rose four spots to 34th overall and 17th among publicly supported business schools in this year's edition of U.S. News & World Report's "America’s Best Graduate Schools," out today.
The publication also ranks Smeal sixth in the nation in the discipline-specific category of Supply Chain/Logistics.
Smeal advanced in this year's rankings from its positions last year of 18th among publics, 38th overall, and seventh in Supply Chain/Logistics.
The U.S. News ranking is partially based on a Peer Assessment Score, which is derived from a survey of business school administrators who rate familiar programs on a scale from 1 to 5. Smeal's Peer Assessment Score rose this year to a 3.5 from last year’s score of 3.3.
The ranking is also based on a survey of recruiters who are familiar with the schools, and statistical information about the programs and their students.
