Field Joins Financial Management Editorial Board

Laura Field, associate professor of finance at Penn State's Smeal College of Business, has been appointed to the editorial board of Financial Management, a leading academic journal in the field of finance.

Field Joins Financial Management Editorial Board

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (April 26, 2006)—Laura Field, associate professor of finance at Penn State's Smeal College of Business, has been appointed to the editorial board of Financial Management, a leading academic journal in the field of finance.

Field will serve on the board for a term of three years as an associate editor, reviewing articles for publication and helping to attract the best research to the journal.

Financial Management is the flagship journal of the Financial Management Association International (FMA), a leading global organization in developing and disseminating knowledge about financial decision making. The journal provides coverage of current research in finance, serving as a source of new ideas to keep FMA members current on the latest advances in financial practice and thinking.

At Smeal, Field's research efforts focus on initial public offerings and corporate governance and her papers have been published in several leading finance journals. She teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in international finance and Ph.D. courses in corporate finance. Field holds a bachelor's degree in economics and an M.B.A. and Ph.D. in finance from UCLA.
