Smeal Faculty Member Co-Authors Book On How To Cope With Nasty Coworkers

Dulin Clark, associate director of MBA career and executive coaching at the Smeal College of Business, and Robert Orndorff, associate director of Recruiting and Employer Relations for Career Services, want to make the workplace a much happier and fulfilling place to go, and they think they have the problem solved with their new book, The PITA Principle: How to Work With and Avoid Becoming a Pain in the Ass.

Deans Make Campus Smaller With Personal Interaction

Penn State's University Park campus may at first seem daunting to some, and the idea of personally getting to know academic leaders may seem far-fetched. But deans at Penn State's largest campus are finding ways to make it much smaller while getting to know the students in their colleges. James B. Thomas, dean of the Smeal College of Business, and Christian Brady, dean of the Schreyer Honors College,  are among those deans.

Slate Of Business Leaders Set To Share 'Executive Insights' This Fall

Penn State's Smeal College of Business will host three senior-level business leaders during the fall semester as part of the third year of its guest speaker program, Leadership in Focus: Executive Insights. Stuart Levenick, group president of Caterpillar Inc., is scheduled for Sept. 26. Smeal alumna Karen Quintos '85, vice president of Americas Marketing for Dell, will be the college's guest on Oct. 17. And the fall slate of speakers will wrap up on Dec. 5 with Smeal alumnus Daniel Mead '75, '77 M.B.A., president of Verizon Services Corp.
