Gardner To Speak At Women's Leadership Conference
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (May 22, 2008) – Patricia Gardner, director of executive education for Penn State Executive Programs at the Smeal College of Business, is scheduled to speak at her alma mater, Alfred University, on June 13.
Gardner will deliver a talk entitled "Code-breaking: Making Personal Connections to Benefit Career/Life Transitions" as part of "Transitions – A Women's Leadership Conference" hosted by the Women's Leadership Center at Alfred University.
In an interactive workshop, Gardner will share an innovative approach to alliance-building that allows individuals to make the right personal connections in business and in life.
Gardner joined Smeal in 2006 from United Equity in Baltimore, where she served as chief strategic officer. She is also CEO of Maximum Sales, a strategic management and leadership consulting firm that sets direction, provides clarity, and transforms strategy into results in challenging environments.
During her career, Gardner has worked with companies such as AT&T, Colgate, GlaxoSmithKline, Goodyear, Honeywell, Johnson & Johnson, ManuLife, Sears, TransAmerica, Unisys, Vanguard, Verizon, and Xerox, where she worked for more than 20 years in a variety of professional management positions both domestically and internationally.
She speaks internationally about her book The Million Dollar Sale (McGraw-Hill), and is a member of the National Speakers Association sought after the national and business media for her expertise in strategic management, sales, and executive leadership.
