Smeal Executive Insights Series To Host Ernst & Young CEO James Turley
Penn State's Smeal College of Business will host James Turley, chairman and chief executive officer of the Ernst & Young global organization, on March 27 as part of the college's new guest speaker series, Leadership In Focus: Executive Insights. Turley will sit down on stage for a conversation with Smeal Dean James Thomas, who will pose questions submitted by students and faculty in the audience.
Smeal Executive Insights Series To Host Ernst & Young CEO James Turley
UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (March 19, 2007) – Penn State's Smeal College of Business will host James Turley, chairman and chief executive officer of the Ernst & Young global organization, on March 27 as part of the college's new guest speaker series, Leadership In Focus: Executive Insights.
Turley will join Smeal Dean James Thomas for an on-stage conversation at 11:15 a.m. in the Business Building's auditorium, during which Thomas will pose questions submitted by students and faculty in the audience.
Turley's agenda also includes meetings with accounting faculty, student leaders, and Penn State President Graham Spanier.

Leadership In Focus: Executive Insights was designed to complement the Smeal educational experience by bringing high-profile business leaders to the college to connect with students, faculty, and administrators to share some of their experiences in leadership.
Future Executive Insights participants include Ernie Accorsi, former general manager of the New York Giants, and Andrew Seck, vice president of corporate affairs for Shell.
About James Turley
Turley began his career at Ernst & Young LLP in 1977 in the firm's Houston office and has since held a series of leadership positions throughout the organization. In July 2001, he became chairman and assumed the role of CEO in October 2003.
Based in New York and London, Turley serves as senior advisory partner for many of Ernst & Young's largest global clients. As chairman, Turley sets a clear and strong tone from the top, focused on quality, integrity, and professionalism. He has worked to create a high-performance work environment with a highly visible leadership commitment to "Quality in Everything We Do."
He holds a bachelor's and master's in accounting from Rice University, where he is a member of the board of trustees.
