The Penn State Smeal College of Business Executive MBA Program in Philadelphia is partnering with the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce in a new initiative, Executive MBA Spotlight, a program series created specifically for senior executives in the Greater Philadelphia region. The inaugural program, "Applying the Tools and Techniques of Leading Companies to Reach Your Leadership Potential," will be held on April 19 at 8 a.m. at the Union League of Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA (March 28, 2007) – The Penn State Smeal College of Business Executive MBA Program in Philadelphia is partnering with the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce in a new initiative, Executive MBA Spotlight, a program series created specifically for senior executives in the Greater Philadelphia region.
The inaugural program, "Applying the Tools and Techniques of Leading Companies to Reach Your Leadership Potential," will be held on April 19 at 8 a.m. at the Union League of Philadelphia.
Smeal Executive Education Professor of Strategic Leadership Al Vicere, consultant to companies like 3M, Brystol-Myers Squibb, Cisco Systems, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, will share some of the of the leadership development strategies and tactics of these and other Fortune 500 companies with which he's worked.
Vicere, a Smeal professor who travels to Philadelphia to teach in the Executive MBA Program, will then join an interactive panel discussion on developing leadership qualities led by Smeal Dean James Thomas. The panel will also include Penn State alumni Victoria Green, senior consultant with the Hay Group, and Matthew Schuyler, Capital One's executive vice president and chief human resources officer.
"The Executive MBA Spotlight series is designed to enhance the leadership skills of our senior-level members," said Mark Schweiker, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce president and chief executive officer. "Tips for improving personal leadership and within your organization are applicable to our member businesses of every size."
