Smeal College Professor Appointed To Two Editorial Boards

Charles Cao of Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration has been appointed to the editorial board of two research journals.

Cao, associate professor of finance, has been named to the editorial boards of the Journal of Financial Markets and the Annals of Economics and Finance .

"Dr. Cao's most recent appointments represent well-deserved recognition of his scholarly accomplishments and emerging stature in the profession," says Dr. William Kracaw, chair of the Department of Finance in Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration. "His research in the areas of option pricing and security market microstructure is widely recognized in both the academic and professional communities."

The Journal of Financial Markets publishes high quality original research on applied and theoretical issues related to securities trading and pricing, including the analysis and design of trading mechanisms, optimal order placement strategies, the role of information in securities markets, financial intermediation as it relates to securities investments, and analyses of short and long horizon price behavior.

The Annals of Economics and Finance sets the highest research standard for economics and finance in China. It publishes original theoretical and applied papers in all fields of economics, finance, and management. It also encourages an economic approach to political science, sociology, and psychology. The Guanghua School of Management at Peking University and the Business School at Wuhan University sponsor the journal.
