Penn State Honors Novack With Teaching Excellence Award
In honor of his record of distinction in undergraduate education, Penn State's Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence has presented Robert Novack, associate professor of supply chain management at the Smeal College of Business, with a 2009 George W. Atherton Award for Excellence in Teaching.
W. L. Gore & Associates Awards Third $10,000 Grant To MMM Program
For the third year in a row, manufacturer W. L. Gore & Associates has awarded a $10,000 grant to Penn State's Master of Manufacturing Management Program, which is administered jointly by the Smeal College of Business and the College of Engineering.
Penn State, NYC Bar, And Houlihan Lokey Collaborate On M&A Executive Program
Penn State Executive Programs, in conjunction with The Penn State Dickinson School of Law, the New York City Bar, and international investment bank Houlihan Lokey, will host an executive education program in May for executives and managers involved in mergers and acquisitions. "Executive Program in Mergers and Acquisitions: Producing a Positive Return in Troubled Times" is scheduled for May 5-7 at the New York City Bar facility in New York.

Cox Business announced today that it recently became a new member of the Institute for the Study of Business Markets, a renowned marketing think tank established in 1983 and housed in Penn State’s Smeal College of Business. Penn State's Smeal College of Business is launching a new executive education program next month designed specifically for managers engaged in international business and global supply chains. "Building Global Supply Chains for Competitive Advantage" is scheduled for April 15 to 17 on Penn State's University Park campus.
Xerox, Dresser-Rand Award Grants To MMM Totaling $35,000
Penn State's Master of Manufacturing Management (MMM) degree program, administered jointly by the Smeal College of Business and the College of Engineering, recently received grants totaling $35,000 from The Xerox Foundation and Dresser-Rand.
