Survey Ranks Smeal's Supply Chain Program No. 1

A survey of 126 companies and 19 academic institutions conducted by AMR Research, a research firm focused on the global supply chain and its supporting technologies, has identified Penn State's Smeal College of Business as having the best supply chain program in the United States in terms of industry value, program depth, and program scope.

Academy of Management Honors Hambrick for Teaching

The Academy of Management has named Donald Hambrick, Smeal Chaired Professor of Management at Penn State's Smeal College of Business, as the 2009 recipient of the Distinguished Educator Award, the organization's highest honor for management education. Last year, Hambrick received the Scholarly Contributions to Management Award, making him only the third person in the history of the Academy of Management to receive its highest career achievement honors in both teaching and research.

High School Students Explore Business, College Life At Smeal

A group of high school students from across the United States is visiting Penn State's Smeal College of Business for a two-week program that allows them to explore opportunities in business education. Twenty-two students from Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas arrived on campus on June 14 for the college's second annual Business Opportunities Summer Session (BOSS).

Penn State Hosts Leadership Program For Women In Philadelphia

Penn State Executive Programs is hosting a two-day leadership development program in Philadelphia this month focusing on the unique challenges and opportunities that women face in their work environments. The Greater Philadelphia Program for Women Leaders, conducted in alliance with SHAMBAUGH Leadership, will be held June 23-24 at Deloitte's Philadelphia offices at 1700 Market Street.
