Faculty, Research Center Directors Form Smeal Sustainability Council

Penn State's Smeal College of Business has formed a Sustainability Council to foster collaboration across the college on sustainability-related research and education, and to enhance visibility for the college's sustainability initiatives across the University and externally.

Smeal Team Places Third In International Trading Competition

For the fifth time in the six-year history of the Rotman International Trading Competition, a team from Penn State's Smeal College of Business has finished in the top five. At the this year's competition, held Feb. 19 to 21 at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, Smeal's team took third place.

Conference To Explore Issues In Early-Stage Venture Investing

Leading angel investors, venture capitalists, and entrepreneurs from across the country will convene at Penn State's University Park campus on March 20 for the Nittany Lion Early-Stage Venture Capital Conference, hosted by the Farrell Center for Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Smeal College of Business. The daylong event begins at 8 a.m. with a reception at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel.

Smeal Students On Winning Product Design Team

An interdisciplinary team including students from the Smeal College of Business took first place for the second semester in a row in the Penn State College of Engineering's Learning Factory Design Showcase held in December.
