More Than 40 Companies Recruit At Semiannual Supply Chain Career Fair

Recruiters from more than 40 of the world's top companies will be at Penn State's Smeal College of Business on Feb. 8 to meet with students, accept resumes, and interview candidates seeking careers in the field of supply chain management. Smeal's semiannual Supply Chain Career Fair will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Business Building Atrium.

More Than 40 Companies Recruiting At Semiannual Supply Chain Career Fair

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA (February 6, 2007) – Recruiters from more than 40 of the world's top companies will be at Penn State's Smeal College of Business on Feb. 8 to meet with students, accept resumes, and interview candidates seeking careers in the field of supply chain management.

Smeal's semiannual Supply Chain Career Fair will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Business Building Atrium.

The event is open to any Penn State student who is interested in a career in supply chain management. Students majoring or earning a minor in supply chain and information systems, management information systems, information systems technology, and industrial engineering are especially encouraged to attend. Sophomores, juniors, seniors, MBAs, and graduate students are welcome.

Corporate recruiters will be on hand to discuss co-op, internship, and full-time employment opportunities.

Applicants are encouraged to wear business casual dress and bring plenty of resumes.

Companies in attendance include: Arkema, Avon, Bechtel, BD, Boeing, Booz Allen, C&S Wholesale, Church & Dwight, Danaher Corp., Dell, Eagle Logistics, GENCO, Georgia Pacific, Goodyear, Gorton's, The Hershey Co., IBM, JC Penney, Johnson & Johnson, JDA Software, Kimberly-Clark, Knight Transportation, Kraft Foods, Logistics Management Institute, LXP, McKesson, National Retail Systems, NAVAIR, Penske Logistics, Pfizer, Pool Corp., PPG Industries, Sanofi-Pasteur, Southco, Staples, Target Distribution, Unilever, VF Corp., Wal-Mart, Whirlpool, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, and YES Solutions.

The Center for Supply Chain Research began hosting the career fair in 2001. In 2004, the event was made semiannual to better meet the hiring needs of the companies in attendance.
