Student Resources

This page contains information on student resources associated with the Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management.

As a Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management student, you will gain access to many of the same valuable resources that resident students have at Penn State University.

Colloquia and Seminars

The online Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management program provides you with access to content experts other than the program's instructors. The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems and Information Systems and the Center for Supply Chain Research sponsor several supply chain conferences and programs each year including the R. Hadly Waters Conference.

R. Hadly Waters Supply Chain Symposium

The R. Hadly Waters Conference draws hundreds of professionals for a full day of topics relevant to today's supply chain business imperatives. The symposium provides a platform for supply chain practitioners and educators to share their visions and experiences on such topics as integrating supply chain processes and technology, agility in international logistics, supply chain security, defense market innovation, demand-driven supply networks, and the future of supply chain management. The 23rd annual R. Hadly Waters Supply Chain Symposium convenes April 25, 2013 at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. Supply Chain Career Fair

The Department of Supply Chain and Information Systems sponsors a Supply Chain Career Fair every semester. In spring 2011, recruiters from more than 45 of the world's top companies were at Penn State's Smeal College of Business and met with over 400 students majoring or earning a minor in supply chain and information systems, management information systems, information systems technology, and industrial engineering.

Libraries

Penn State's University libraries provide an extraordinary array of services to Penn State students who participate in classes through the World Campus. Like Penn State resident students, the professional master students are able to use the library resources to identify and locate articles and books needed for their study and research. In addition to the library's hard copy holdings and growing number of electronic resources, the library also services requests to scan printed documents and deliver Portable Document Format (PDF) documents at a very modest user fee charged to all students at registration. Students can also request assistance from reference librarians by e-mail or telephone.
