Business Building

The Business Building is home to the internationally ranked Penn State Smeal College of Business. Dedicated in 2005, the building has been recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the best business school facilities in the nation.

For Smeal MBAs, the Business Building offers a range of amenities, from state-of-the-art video conferencing facilities and dedicated MBA team rooms to the dynamic Rogers Family Trading Room with its connection to global financial markets.

Take a online tour of the 210,000-square-foot building to learn more about what it has to offer. Other highlights include:

Atrium and Lobby

The four-story atrium and lobby is the hub of the building, providing comfortable lounge and meeting areas. The atrium is also used as a venue for college- and University-related events.

Blue Chip Bistro

The Blue Chip Bistro is a café-style restaurant and Starbucks Coffee bar that offers seating for 125 people indoors, and an outdoor seating area for fair-weather days. The Blue Chip is a popular gathering place for Smeal students, faculty, and staff.

MBA Classrooms

The building houses multiple dedicated MBA classrooms. The tiered spaces—which are designed to facilitate discussion and interaction—feature wireless access, video projection tools, and technology that allows faculty to record and rebroadcast lectures and presentations.

MBA Commons

This area serves as central community space for students, faculty, and administrators of the MBA Program. The commons hosts a number of MBA-related events including the daily Coffee Buzz, which brings students, faculty, and administrators together to grab coffee and catch up.

MBA Programs Office

The 220 suite in the building houses administrators and staff for the MBA Program. The office provides students convenient access to services such as academic advising, career development, and student organization programming.
